Major General Kevin Obhiozele Aligbe was born on 11 October 1967 at Uromi, in Edo State. He is a Christian and hails from Ujabhole – Uwessan Irrua, in Esan Central LGA of Edo State. He had his primary education at St. Anthony’s Primary School, Okpujie-Uromi. He started his secondary education at Ujabhole Grammar School, Ujabhole - Irrua and finished at Iruekpen Grammar School, Iruekpen both in Edo State between 1980 and 1986. From there he proceeded to the Federal Government College Kaduna for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) education between 1986 and 1987.
While in FGC Kaduna, he gained admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1987 as member of the 39Th Regular Course. Maj Gen Aligbe passed out from NDA on 12 September 1992 and commissioned a second lieutenant into the Corps of Infantry and posted to 26 Battalion, Bonny Camp, Lagos.

FIELD COMMAND/OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE
4. Maj Gen Aligbe is vastly experienced in all spectrum of Nigerian Army operations and some of his tours include:
a. Force Commander – Joint Task Force OP WHIRL STROKE. Maj Gen Aligbe commanded the JTF OP WHIRL STROKE anti-banditry operations covering Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba States from October 2021– April 2023 with resounding achievements.
b. Deputy Force Commander/Land Component Commander OP DELTA SAFE. He was the DFC/LCC OP DELTA SAFE that restored Nigeria’s crude oil production to OPEC quota after it had dropped to less than 900,000BPD by June 2016 leading to the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Award.
c. Brigade Commander. He was the pioneer commander of 16 Brigade Yenagoa where he acquired land and commenced the construction of an Army Barracks before the intervention from AHQ.
d. Battalion Commander. He had the privilege of commanding 73 Battalion Kano and Nigeria Battalion 17 (NIBATT 17) in Darfur, Sudan.
e. Commander OP SWEEP. Maj Gen Aligbe as commander OP SWEEP (then a Captain), was in charge of Lagos Island, Etio-Osa, Ibeju Lekki and Epe LGAs for anti-robbery and sundry crimes where he recorded resounding successes.
f. Other field experiences include:
