TRAINING AND DOCTRINE COMMAND NIGERIAN ARMY HOLDS IN-HOUSE STUDY PERIOD ON CRITICAL THINKING AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Experts have advised personnel of the Nigerian Army on the need to indulge in regular exercise, medical checkup and good diet in order to improve their work effectiveness. This was the submission of Dr EhizOdigie-Okpataku, a Behavioural Change & Public Health Communication Consultant and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. She made this assertion while speaking at the TRADOC Auditorium during the In-House Study period on "Critical Thinking and Emotional Intelligence" on Monday 23 May 22. She described stress as simply pressure which could be managed. During her presentation on “Mindfulness Beyond Stress Management”, she explained that poor stress management could lead to multiple medical conditions if not properly managed.In another presentation on “Emotional Intelligence and Leadership”, Dr EhisOdigie stressed on the need to employ emotional intelligence and critical thinking in every day life.The event featured series of audience centered interactive session and presentation of Souvenirs.

In attendance were Chief of Doctrine and Combat Development, Maj Gen JG Mohammed, Chief of Research Development Tests and Evaluation, Maj Gen S Ibrahim, Directors, Deputy Directors, officers and soldiers of the Command.
